Red Patch is seeking an freelance Assistant Facilitator for its community arts project, PATCHED, commissioned by Newham Festival of Stories. The project will consist of creative writing and arts & crafts workshops focusing on the theme of HOME. We are looking for a Newham-based emerging artist aged 18-23.

You will assist in the facilitation of five creative writing workshops and one arts & crafts workshop held in various community settings, as well as an Open Mic. The project will take place across October and November 2025 within Newham, London. The ideal candidate will be an early career poet or writer; however, other art forms will be considered. You do not need to have any previous facilitation experience.

Fee: Six workshops at £60 per workshop (2hrs delivery, 30 mins planning)

Open Mic support: £60 (1 half day)

Total Fee: £420
